Has Dil Raju pocketed 10 Crores profit with V?

Dil Raju after hesitating for about five months has finally decided to sell V to Amazon Prime. At first many were disappointed with the move as they expected Nani’s landmark movie which is 25th should have a theatrical release. But after releasing on OTT, it turns out to be the smartest move. The latest talk in trade circles is that Dil Raju has pocketed a solid Rs. 10 Crore profits by selling V. Apart from the digital rights, satellite rights, Hindi dubbing rights have fetched Dil Raju a whopping Rs. 45 Crores. Including the interests, Dil Raju has spent around Rs. 35 Crores for V. It is one of the costliest films in Nani’s career.

Dil Raju didn’t have to bear the publicity and prints cost that was inevitable for a theatrical release. So all in all, Dil Raju’s decision turns out to be the smartest one as many are of opinion that V wouldn’t have done well in theatrical release with the content.
