Harman Baweja Reveals the Reason for Quitting Films!

Harman Baweja talked openly about a moment when the news media treated him unfairly during a recent media interview.

When Harman Baweja first entered the Hindi film industry in 2008, Priyanka Chopra starred in the science fiction romance movie Love Story 2050. Then he continued working on several other projects, such as What’s Your Rashee, Victory, Dishkiyaoon, and others. His early years weren’t easy, though, and the media frequently singled him out for criticism. In a recent interview, Harman has opened up about those times.

After a long absence from the big screen, Harman is making a triumphant return with his freshly released Netflix web series Scoop, which stars Karishma Tanna as the lead. The series creator is Hansal Mehta. Baweja portrays JCP Harshvardhan Shroff in the program.

Recalling his initial days in the industry and media doing his comparison with Hrithik he said, “I feel that the media was absolutely unfair to me. When I had done my first few films, a barrage of harsh and mean things was written (about me). It’s part and parcel of the business, but it hurts when it gets too personal.”

Harman Baweja went on to say that he would keep newspapers hidden from his mother since they included negative articles about him. Harman said, “There were times when I’d make sure that the papers didn’t come home, or that my mom didn’t see them. I quit because effectively, things didn’t pan out the way they initially (appeared). Today, the same family who avoided reading papers is now looking forward to the next article on me.”
