Guna Sekhar’s Shaakunthalam to have Pan-India release?

Guna Sekhar has announced his ambitious project Shaakunthalam recently. The pre-production works of the film are going at a very brisk pace. Samantha has been roped in for the titular role. She will be seen as Shakunthala. There are reports that Dev Menon will be seen as King Dushyantha and Eesha Rebba plays a crucial role in the movie.

The latest development is that Guna Sekhar has decided to release the project Pan-India wide. Shaakunthalam will have a release in Tamil and Hindi as well. So, it will be Samantha’s theatrical debut in Hindi as well. She will have OTT debut with The Family Man 2, a web series made by Raj and DK. Shaakunthalam is a mythological tale that is based on the Adi Parva in the epic Mahabharatham.

The special effects in the film are going to cost a bomb. Gunaa Team Works is producing this huge budget extravaganza. More details about Shaakunthalam will be out very soon.
