Jai Simha, Gang and Rangula Ratnam are set to take on Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyathavaasi for the Sankranthi season this year. While Agnyathavaasi has taken up all the cake, Jai Simha, Gang and Rangula Ratnam also have lot riding on them.
Agnyathavaasi needs at least 150 crores Nett gross collections to make a breakeven and that is a big risk for any Telugu film with just a popular star and his trusted friend cum writer-director making the film. But Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas, combination is so huge that the fans of the actor and the writer-director are expecting something huge than they could expect.
Jai Simha has Balakrishna coming for another Sankranthi in hopes to repeat the magic of Narasimha Naidu. His movies with Simha titles have been hits and this time, he is coming with Nayantara as the lead actress along with Natasha Joshi and Hari Prriya as other heroines.
Gang is an important film for Suriya after underwhelming film like Singham3 and the actor is determined to correct all the box office stats that are against him with this movie. Vignesh Shivan is hoping to repeat the success of Nenu Rowdy Ne, with this film.
Rangula Ratnam is an important one for Raj Tharun and the actor hasn’t been able to find much success after Kumari 21F, even though Kittu Unnadu Jagrattha made average business. He needs a defining hit.
Trade is expecting all the films to do well and an amount close to 250 crores is riding on all these films. Let’s wait and see, how this Sankranthi will yield to TFI.
