Ghaati Movie Review & Rating!

Ghaati, starring Anushka in the lead and Vikram Prabhu in a key role, raised good expectations with its promos. But did the film meet them? Let’s see…

Ghaati Movie Story: Ghaati is about Sheelavathi (Anushka) and Desiraju (Vikram Prabhu), who secretly smuggle a rare marijuana in liquid form against the control of the Naidu Brothers. The core story revolves around why they do it, their goal, and how Sheelavathi faces the Naidu Brothers’ wrath.

Performances: Vikram Prabhu marks his Telugu debut with Ghaati, dubbing for himself and delivering a natural performance as Desiraju. Anushka once again proves she can convincingly handle mass action, though some CG work limited her expressions. Chaitanya Rao shines as Kundula Naidu, with his intense body language and screen presence dominating every scene. Jagapathi Babu adds strength with a well-written role after a long time. Ravindra Vijay, Larissa, Jishnu Sengupta, and Raju Sundaram do justice to their parts.

Technical Aspects: Ghaati has fresh music but nothing memorable. Cinematography is decent, though weak production design pulls it down. Director Krish chose a strong story but leaned too much on commercial elements, which diluted his usual style. Despite good performances from the cast, the film ends with only mixed results.

Analysis: With Ghaati, Krish sacrificed his usual style for commercial appeal. The emotions didn’t fully connect with the audience, so Anushka’s performance and his human touch didn’t completely impress. However, the locations, Anushka’s presence, and some action scenes still entertain.

Verdict: Ghaati struggles to balance emotion and commercial elements, but Anushka’s presence, select action scenes, and the visuals make it watchable.

Bottom Line: Action-packed, visually good, emotionally lacking.
