Nandamuri Balakrishna is all excited and quite emotional about his 100th film, Gautamiputra Satakarni. He is more expressive about his emotions regularly but at the audio launch function that concluded yesterday he looked even more emotional and truly overwhelmed by the occasion. The function conducted in Tirupathi was attended by total cast and crew of the film, including Hema Malini, Shriya and Shiva Raj Kumar. As special invitees and chief guests, Boyapati Srinu, Venkayya Naidu and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister graced the event.
All through out the event director Krrish looked proud by the film and that reflected in his words as well. He expressed his gratitude to Balakrishna for accepting the film and praised him to the sky with slogans ‘Jai Basavatarakammaputra Balayya’. He pointed out to his mother in the crowd and said that he made a historic film that Telugu cinema will be proud off for ever. He also said same to his newly wed wife with an apology. Taking about history of Gautamiputra Satakarni and Satavahanas he got emotional saying people in Maharastra, Tamil Nadu know more about a Telugu King from Koti Lingala who developed Amaravati as capital and ruled all over India from Himalayas to Kanyakumari. He requested Nara Chandra Babu Naidu to bring at least one Amaravati stone from London Museum to honor the history of Telugu warriors.
Boyapati Seenu congratulated the team and wished them all the success. Venkayya Naidu in his speech talked about his association with Balakrishna and Senior NTR highlighting his early days in politics. Even Seetharama Sastry who normally keeps his distance from such events praised Krrish and explained how they arrived at the feature film length and what took out of him to write the lyrics for the film. Hema Malini and Shriya wished the movie to be a grand success that it deserves to be. They shared their excitement for being a part of such a magnanimous film.
Nara Chandra Babu Naidu remembered his association with Senior NTR and praised him during the function. He congratulated Balakrishna on completion of 100 films and wished that if a film like Legend managed to run for 1000 days then Gautamiputra Satakarni should manage to at least repeat the feat if not more. He praised the dedication shown by the cast and crew of the team in bringing a historic Telugu personality to the forefront.
Nandamuri Balakrishna thanked all his fans and expressed his gratitude saying that due to their unconditional support only he was able to reach a milestone of 100 films. He quipped that it took him 43 years in films to achieve the figure while his father achieved it just 9 years. He showed his confidence about the movie saying that Gautamiputra Satakarni will be a historic event in Telugu Cinema that will be talked about in future history. He further thanked his co-stars and technicians who worked with him and allowed them to complete such a huge film in 80 days. Chirantan Bhatt composed the songs and all 5 of them are highly appreciated by the fans.
