Director Anil Ravipudi is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film F3, the sequel to his film F2, which is all set to be released on May 27th. Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamannaah and Mehreen will be returning to the film, along with the other original cast, and some other actors have also joined the movie.
F2 was a surprise hit at the box office when it was released, and while its first half played the first important role in making the film a success, it was the timing of the release and the fact that the other movies released at the time didn’t perform well enough, that worked in favour of the movie, making it a box office success. However, considering that things have vastly changed in the last few years due to the coronavirus pandemic and how it has impacted the audience’s mindset when it comes to going to the theatre, a lot of factors need to be considered.
Stars like Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan couldn’t save a sinking ship that was Acharya due to the changed culture and the increase in ticket prices. At a time like this, it is to be seen whether or not F3 would be able to rework some of the magic of its original. The movie really needs to hit it out of the park, to work out.
