Emraan Hashmi, in an interview opened up about the harsh realities of showbiz calling fame a “fizzling effect”.
He said that behind all the glamour people see, actors face daily struggles and pressure. Emraan who has impressed audiences with his lovely performances and now stars in the courtroom drama Haq alongside Yami Gautam.
Speaking about the film and the industry, Emraan said that life in cinema is far from easy. “People think it’s all glitz and glamour but there’s nothing glamorous about it”.
“It’s full of hard work, pressure and emotional pain. If you don’t have a thick skin, this business isn’t for you”, he said.
He added that many enter films chasing fame, but it fades quickly. True success, he believes, comes from resilience, rising again after every low. Directed by Suparn S. Varma, Haq releases in theatres on November 7th.
