Emotional Connect Is Key, Says GV Prakash

While many songs today become popular through reels and short videos, G. V. Prakash Kumar believes music should stay in people’s hearts for years.

With over two decades of experience, he says emotions are the biggest strength of any song or background score. He feels audiences still value meaningful music even in today’s fast digital world.

GV Prakash shared that he does not follow trends blindly. Instead, he composes music based on the film’s story, mood and characters. According to him, emotional honesty makes a song timeless.

Talking about Kara starring Dhanush, he said the film has deep emotions like guilt and family bonding, which helped him explore new layers in music.

He also praised Dhanush’s hard work. GV Prakash added that good music with meaningful lyrics is always important.
