Vijay Antony recently spoke about drug use in the Tamil film industry while promoting his upcoming film Maargan in Madurai.
He said that drug use is not new and has been around in the industry for many years. His comments came in the wake of actor Srikanth’s arrest in a drug-related case which shocked many.
Speaking to the press, Vijay said, “Drug use didn’t start yesterday, it’s been in cinema for a long time. Even now someone nearby might be addicted. The police are doing their job, and I have nothing more to say”.
The statement has sparked discussions within the industry. Meanwhile Vijay is gearing up for the release of his 12th film Maargan where he plays the lead and composes the music.
The film also stars Ajay Dishan, Brigitta, Samuthirakani, and others. The trailer received a positive response, and promotions are now in full swing.
