Disha Patani‘s father Deputy Superintendent of Police Jagdish Patani filed a complaint against four people for cheating him out of Rs. 25 lakhs.
The accused are Shivendra Pratap Singh, Diwakar Garg, Acharya Jayaprakash and Preeti Garg, among others. They promised to help Jagdish get a high position in a government commission, using their political contacts. FIR was filed and the police have started an investigation.
According to media reports Jagdish trusted Shivendra Pratap Singh whom he knew personally. Singh then introduced him to Jayaprakash and Diwakar and they assured him that they could secure the position using their political ties.
They even introduced a man named Himanshu as an officer on a special duty to build trust. To gain his confidence, the trio asked for a total of Rs. 25 lakhs, with Rs. 5 lakhs paid in cash and Rs. 20 lakhs transferred through three different accounts.
However, after waiting for over three months without any progress, Jagdish confronted them. In response, they allegedly threatened him and acted aggressively. This led Jagdish to file a police case against the accused.
