Dil Raju in a Major Fix

Producer Dil Raju is one of the biggest names in the Indian film industry, producing massive films in Telugu. While the producer mostly stuck to the Telugu market, he started expanding his horizons recently, and is about to enter the Tamil market in a major way with Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Vijay is the protagonist in the film, in which Rashmika Mandanna is the leading lady.

The film is scheduled to be released for Sankranthi 2023, and while it is going to be the best season to release the film in Tamil Nadu, it is not the best idea for the film to be released in the Telugu states at the same time, as there are two big films gearing up for release. Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy are set for a Sankranthi release, and naturally, the Telugu audience would prefer to watch these films in theatres, when compared to Vijay’s Varisu (Vaarasudu in Telugu).

If Dil Raju tries to keep a good number of theatres for Varisu, it might not work in his favour, because that would anger Chiru and Balayya, with whom the producer reportedly wants to make films soon. It has thus to be seen how Raju will come out of this major fix.
