Dhanush’s Ilaiyaraaja Biopic Back On Track

The much-awaited biopic of legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja, starring Dhanush, is officially back in progress after months of speculation about its delay.

Directed by Arun Matheswaran, the film is currently in pre-production, with AGS Entertainment and Connekkt Media producing it.

Dhanush had earlier shared the first-look poster, showing him as a young Ilaiyaraaja in old Madras. The film was announced in March 2024 at a grand event with Kamal Haasan.

Ilaiyaraaja himself will compose the music, while Nirav Shah will handle the cinematography.

Despite rumors of setbacks, Dhanush has remained committed to the project. Meanwhile, he is also busy with NEEK, Idly Kadai, Kubera with Sekhar Kammula, and Tere Ishq Mein with Aanand L Rai.

Fans are eagerly awaiting updates on the biopic, which promises to celebrate Ilaiyaraaja’s legendary journey in music.
