Decent run for Radhe Shyam on small screen!

Young Rebel Star Prabhas had been absent from the silver screen for three years, by the time Radhe Shyam was released in March this year. The film was released with huge fanfare and a lot of buzz surrounding the film. The film was promoted as an epic love story, set in Italy, where Prabhas would be seen as a palmist. Pooja Hegde is the leading lady in this film, which is directed by Radha Krishna Kumar.

Upon the release of the film though, the film turned out to be a huge disaster, with negative reports coming from everywhere. The film even became a colossal disappointment financially, leaving the producers in deep debt. The film didn’t receive much response on OTT either, when it was released on Amazon Prime, but has performed quite well on the small screen.

The satellite rights for Radhe Shyam have been bought by Zee Telugu, and the film managed to bring in a rating of 8.25, for the first time it was on TV. This is way more than anyone could have expected from the film, given the kind of talk the film got.
