The confusion around Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2: Thaandavam has finally ended. After a few tense days the Madras High Court has given permission for the film’s release.
This happened after Eros International and 14 Reels Plus settled their issues internally.
With both sides agreeing, the release can now move ahead, and the team only needs to complete some local financial clearances and pending distributor payments. They are working on these last steps to lock the big release on December 12, 2025.
The producers have also applied again for higher ticket prices and for permission to hold paid premieres on December 11th 2025, in the Telugu states. An official announcement is expected later today.
With the legal problems solved the team is getting ready to restart promotions. The film is directed by Boyapati Srinu and stars Aadhi Pinisetty, Samyuktha, Kabir Duhan Singh, Poorna and Harshaali Malhotra, with music by Thaman.
