Challenging Shoot For Disha Pardeshi

In an interview, Raja Shivaji actress Disha Pardeshi spoke about a difficult underwater scene she shot for the film.

She played Afzal Khan’s wife, who is killed and thrown into water. The movie directed by Riteish Deshmukh shows the story of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with Sanjay Dutt as Afzal Khan.

Disha said she didn’t know at first that she would have to perform underwater for much long hours. She was only asked if she could swim.

Later she trained to act underwater without an oxygen mask. She spent nearly 12 hours practicing and shooting the scene which was scary but exciting.

She also praised Riteish Deshmukh for his support. His true encouragement helped her perform confidently without using body doubles, VFX or AI.
