Can Mahesh ever be seen in a periodic film?

Superstar Mahesh Babu is an effortless actor and easily slips into any role he’s given. He’s played various roles throughout his career and has been seen in looks ranging from stylish to rugged, and everything else. However, there’s one look that fans of Mahesh haven’t seen him to date, in a periodic look.

Mahesh’s fans have been wanting to see him play the role of a King or any other period role for a really long time, and their dreams were very close to reality when Mahesh was said to be playing the role of Gina Ganna Reddy in Gunasekhar’s Rudramadevi. These plans later fell through, and Allu Arjun stepped into the shoes of Gona Ganna Reddy and impressed everyone.

According to the latest reports, Gunsekhar is considering roping in Mahesh for his film Prathapa Rudrudu. Prathapa Rudrudu is the last Kaktiya ruler of the Kakatiya dynasty, and Gunaskehar is expected to start shooting for this film as soon as he is done with his current film Shaakuntalam. He is yet to approach Mahesh, but fans are said to be highly excited to see if Gunaskehar will be able to impress Mahesh and if their dream will finally come true, with Mahesh essaying a periodic character. It is now to be seen what will happen.
