Varun Tej worked very hard and transformed himself for Ghani, directed by Kiran Korrapati, in which the actor played a boxer. The film was released recently, among a decent buzz, but turned out to be a major disappointment, turning out to be a disaster. Varun Tej even responded to the same, saying that it’s unfortunate that Ghani didn’t fare well, despite all of their hard work and hundred per cent efforts.
The streaming rights for Ghani have been acquired by Aha, which is now reportedly working on a producer’s cut of the film to be streamed on the platform. Sources say that the producer’s cut is slightly different compared to the theatrical version, with this cut containing 10 extra racy minutes and a slightly different screenplay. The makers are said to be hoping that this cut would be able to salvage the movie.
The streaming date for Ghani has not been announced yet, so it is to be seen how well the producer’s cut will turn out to be. On the other hand, Ghani featured an ensemble cast that included Saiee Manjrekar as the leading lady, and Nadiya, Upendra, Jagapathi Babu and Sunil Shetty in key roles.
