A bomb threat was reported at Vijay Thalapathy’s house in Kapaleeswarar Nagar, Neelankarai, Chennai, causing concern.
Vijay’s home has ‘Y’ category security from the central government so the news spread quickly on social media. Earlier a mentally challenged person had entered the house which had already raised security concerns.
Following the threat, CRPF officers from Noida inspected the area and checked the security arrangements. Bomb experts along with a sniffer dog, investigated the premises. After a thorough check it was confirmed that the bomb threat was a hoax.
Although no danger was found the incident highlighted security risks. Police are still trying to identify the person who made the call.
The event created a stir among fans and the media and the industry too. There is a possibility that new security measures may be introduced to prevent similar incidents in the future.
