Birthday Week Release For Jana Nayagan?

Ever since Vijay announced that Jana Nayagan will be his last film before entering public life, excitement in Tamil Nadu has grown.

But the film release has faced many problems. It was first planned for Sankranti but the censor certificate did not arrive on time so the release was stopped at the last minute.

Later the team planned for February, but a case was filed in court claiming the film had strong political content. A review committee was appointed, and its report is still pending.

With elections coming in April the makers now plan to release the film in June, possibly on June 18, close to Vijay’s birthday. The film is directed by H. Vinoth and stars Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, and Bobby Deol.
