Rana Daggubati appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the illegal betting apps case.
The ED has been probing the scam for months, suspecting money laundering, and has been questioning celebrities who promoted such apps.
Rana was initially asked to appear last month but requested more time over personal reasons. He was then summoned for August 11 and attended the session today at the ED’s Hyderabad office. Reports say he is being questioned about his remuneration and commissions for endorsing a betting brand.
Prakash Raj was questioned for six hours, while Vijay Devarakonda faced four hours of interrogation. Rana’s questioning may continue until evening.
Meanwhile actress Manchu Lakshmi has been asked to appear on August 13. The ED has booked 29 people, including actors, influencers, and public figures.
