Beast creates a new record; Deets inside

Kollywood star Vijay’s Beast had a pan-India theatrical release yesterday. Opened to below-par reports, the film will be facing tough competition from monster KGF2 during this weekend at the box office.

As per the trade reports, Beast opened to massive numbers in Tamil Nadu. Reportedly, the film has collected a whopping of Rs 36 crore gross from Tamil Nadu alone on its opening day and created a new All-Time record among the Tamil movies. In twin Telugu states, Beast has generated a decent share of close to Rs 5 crore on the first day. Will the film continue the same momentum further? Remains to be seen.
