Fans and audiences are highly excited to see Nandamuri Balakrishna in action, in his upcoming film Akhanda, directed by Boyapati Srinu. This director and actor combo has previously given blockbuster films like Simha and Legend, and naturally, the expectations on Akhanda are high as well. The expectations on the film further increased after the release of the trailer a few months ago.
Akhanda was supposed to release in May but got postponed due to the second wave of coronavirus, and the subsequent lockdown. Akhanda has just a small schedule remaining to shoot, which comprises a fight sequence and a song. Once that is done, the film would be ready for release. According to the earlier schedules, Vijay Deverakonda and Puri Jagannath’s Liger was supposed to release for Vinayaka Chavithi, in August, but the film now got delayed due to the second wave.
According to the latest reports, Akhanda might now arrive for Vinayaka Chavithi, in place of Liger. Releasing for Vinayaka Chavithi, in August, may prove to be a good option for Balakrishna, given that it’s a holiday, and there would be a good audience turnout for the actor. Pragya Jaiswal is the leading lady in Akhanda, while Poorna plays an important role in the film, and Thaman is the music director.
