Bahubali2 juggernaut continues to tumble records!

Bahubali2, the Magnum Opus of Rajamouli and his team has truly become a National phenomenon. The movie after starting out as a simple regional film five years ago, today became the biggest blockbuster India has ever witnessed with just two days of run at the theatres. The movie’s first day all India nett is equal to many Hindi blockbusters life time collections and the Hindi version is showing no slowing down no matter what by doing 40 crs each day on first two days and on the third day too, the movie will cross 40 crs nett, as per the trade pandits. This is just phenomenal run at the box office, considering not even big Khan films have registered such huge amount of fulls in recent years. Everywhere movie has been registering 98% of collections and hence, the movie is said to be a juggernaut at the box office.

The Chennai city gross on Day 2 is said to be 1.13 cr and it is among the top grossers ever in a day. In Kerala, the rush for the movie is unprecedented and people are rushing towards the theatres before the showtime and waiting patiently for booking counters to open up. This kind of rush and madness was seen for films during the 90’s but it has been absent these days with huge releases and families not willing to come to the theatres. But Bahubali2 turned to be an exception by taking over the Indian and Overseas markets at a time. The collection reports pouring in from different areas are suggesting the massive interest people showing towards the movie even with huge ticket prices. Even families are turning up and distributors are suggesting that if the team decides to reduce ticket rates to normal then the movie might show even bigger revenue than projected in the longer run.

In Overseas, the movie is going at a different pedestal altogether. An Indian movie giving competition to American films at NA box office. The film till Saturday, collected $8 Million and according to be early updates, the movie has crossed the full run figure of Bahubali the Beginning, $8.5M by morning shows on Sunday. While North America is showing greater love to the film, all other territories are also outperforming with heavy rush. US distributors have already asked other Indian film distributors and producers to plan their movie releases in June. The total two day Worldwide is said to be 385 crores. This is just phenomenal opening and grand success for imagination and hardwork of SS Rajamouli, Prabhas, Anushka, Rana and team.
