Moviegoers have increasingly shown interest in premium formats like IMAX, Dolby Vision and 4DX expecting an immersive experience.
Delivering such experiences on time especially for big-budget Pan-India films is a challenge for filmmakers. Before his next action-adventure with Mahesh Babu, Rajamouli is bringing back Baahubali in a new form.
Baahubali: The Epic is a recut and condensed version of the two-part franchise into a single film set to release worldwide on October 31st. The makers promise it will be the most visually spectacular edition yet.
The film will release in multiple premium formats including IMAX, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, DBox, EpiQ, ICE and PCX making it a rare Pan-India release across so many large screen formats.
Producer Shobu Yarlagadda noted the logistical challenges of delivering content across formats and languages but assured a seamless experience.
