Kollywood star director Atlee Kumar, known for his big films, and made his Bollywood entry with “Jawan” starring Shah Rukh Khan. The film, which released in September 2023, received tremendous hit and grossed over 1000 crore at box office.
Atlee, thrilled with the success, disclosed intentions for his next project, a star-studded film starring SRK and Vijay. However, industry experts reacted differently to his lavish target of making 3000 crore worldwide.
Unfortunately, the stars seem misaligned for Atlee’s dream collaboration. Vijay announced that his ongoing project with Venkat Prabhu would be his final acting stint before delving into politics. Similarly, SRK expressed reluctance towards cameo appearances and multi-starrers, evident from his recent refusal to feature in a Rajinikanth-Lokesh Kanagaraj film. Consequently, Atlee’s grand vision appears unlikely to materialize.
Acknowledging the situation, Atlee has shifted his focus. He is currently crafting a script for ‘Icon Star’ Allu Arjun and planning a direct sequel to “Jawan” (2023). Furthermore, discussions are underway for a potential collaboration with Salman Khan.
