Atlee, the rising star director in South industry, has achieved tremendous success with his latest film “Jawan,” becoming one of the most sought-after filmmakers in India. Despite much anticipation surrounding his next project, Atlee hasn’t formally announced his next venture.
In a recent interview, Atlee disclosed details about his much-discussed collaboration with Superstar Rajinikanth. Expressing his admiration for Rajini, Atlee credited Rajini’s classic, “Thalapathy,” as his inspiration for joining the film industry.
Having previously worked with Rajini on “Enthiran” while assisting director Shankar, Atlee shared that he has had a few story discussions with Rajini, pitching various ideas. However, Atlee confessed that he’s yet to finalize the perfect script for Rajini due to time constraints.
He expressed his desire to create something surpassing the iconic “Baasha” and aims to deliver a film that stands as the pinnacle of Rajini’s career, similar to how his films marked career peaks for actors like Arya and Vijay. Atlee mentioned Rajini affectionately calls him “Kanna” (dear) and is enthusiastic about collaborating under his direction.
