During his eagerly anticipated performance, “Marakkumma Nenjam,” on Sunday night, music legend AR Rahman addressed the commotion and uncertainty.
The event’s organisers, ACTC Events, thanked Rahman for his performance and expressed regret to the fans who were unable to attend their concert because of the difficulties surrounding admittance.
ACTC events posted their comment in X (formerly Twitter) and said: “Grateful to Chennai and the legendary @arrahman Sir! The incredible response, overwhelming crowd made our show a massive success. Those who couldn’t attend on overcrowding, our sincere apologies. We take full responsibility. We are with you #MarakkkumaNenjam
Without adding any commentary, AR Rahman retweeted the article. He also reposted a note from a fan thanking him for the special occasion.
It should be emphasised that many fans became enraged when they were denied access to the programme venue and complained that the concert was oversold and that the organisers had failed miserably.
At Chennai’s Adityaram Palace, the concert took place. Due to crowding, many fans were dissatisfied and enraged that they couldn’t attend the show.
Fans who had paid Rs 2000 for tickets were also denied entry, and many expressed their displeasure with the event’s poor organisation. They also attributed the poor management on AR Rahman’s staff.
