AP High Court pushes the hearing of ticket pricing to Monday; Advantage for Pushpa

Taking the theatre owners petition into consideration, the AP High Court dismissed the new ticket pricing GO that was brought by the state government earlier this year. The court gave verdict that previous ticket rates will come into existence as an immediate effect.

Challenging the verdict, the Andhra Pradesh government filed a lunch motion petition before Division Bench against the single judge Bench verdict yesterday. As the single judge verdict copy was not received yesterday, the Division Bench had adjourned the hearing to next day. Meanwhile, the latest news we hear from media reports is that the High Court has pushed the hearing of government’s appeal to Monday.

Now, this decision by the AP High Court comes as an advantage for the immediate release, Pushpa as the ticket rates will be same as they are before April 2021 till the next hearing.
