The director praised the actor’s work ethic and said that, in the beginning, he was a brat who made fun of everything. The Abhishek he worked with on Manmarziyaan was a very different person from the actor he met during Yuva, according to him, who didn’t take things seriously but acknowledged that individuals change as time goes on.
Anurag Kashyap rang Abhay Deol earlier to apologise for their argument. After learning of Sushant Singh Rajput’s unexpected death, he realised and phoned the actor. The late actor reportedly requested work from the director, but three weeks later he passed away. Kashyap admitted that he still feels bad about it and that it prompted him to apologise to Abhay Deol for their disagreement following the release of their movie Dev D.
