A retrospective of Anupam Kher’s seven films will be shown at the upcoming Jagran Film Festival.
Saaransh, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Shiv Shastri Balboa, A Wednesday, Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Maara, Accidental Prime Minister, and the as-yet-unreleased “The Signature” are some of the films that will be included in this list.
The 11th Jagran Film Festival will recognise the actor’s extraordinary journey with the retrospective by highlighting his performances that have had a lasting impression on both Indian and international film.
Anupam Kher said the Jagran Film Festival is one of the most renowned and historic film festivals honouring Indian and international cinema. I’m thrilled to let you know that seven of my most well-known films will be exhibited at the festival. I am appreciative of the jury members for choosing me for this distinction and for providing the audience with the chance to experience the magic of storytelling in action. I’ll see you at the theatre.
For Anupam, this accomplishment is particularly noteworthy because, in addition to his already released works, his upcoming film “The Signature” will also be presented at the prestigious festival. Along with co-producing the movie alongside KC Bokadia, he also stars in it under the banner of Anupam Kher Productions.
The movie, which is directed by Gajendra Ahire, will be available to view on ZEE5.
Anupam made his acting debut in Hindi films with the drama film “Saaransh,” which was directed by Mahesh Bhatt and featured him as a 65-year-old retired middle-class teacher who loses his son. Kher’s performance garnered him significant accolades even though the movie only had a modest box office success.
The forthcoming edition of the Jagran Film Festival, a travelling film festival, will begin on August 3 in Delhi.
Before reaching Mumbai on August 14, it would first stop in Kanpur, Lucknow, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Bareilly, Dehradun, Hissar, Gurugram, Ludhiana, Patna, Darbhanga, Ranchi, Raipur, Indore, and Siliguri.
