Several interesting combinations keep taking place in Tollywood every now and then, with directors and actors teaming up with various people that excite audiences. One such combination has been that of director Tharun Bhascker and Venkatesh Daggubati. Their combination was announced nearly 3 years ago, and there have been several rumors and updates on the project till now, but nothing has been finalized yet.
While recently promoting his upcoming film Narappa, the remake of the Tamil film Asuran, Venkatesh clarified all the speculations and rumors surrounding his film with Tharun. He said that discussions are going on and that nothing is concrete. He said that decisions will be taken accordingly. By these statements, it is clear that this film has been put on the back burner for now, and there’s no clarity over when, and whether this project will even go on the floor.
On the other hand, Venkatesh has Drushyam 2 for release, which is also going for a direct OTT release. Apart from that, the actor is currently shooting for his upcoming film F3, the sequel to F2, directed by Anil Ravipudi. Venkatesh said that he is very excited for the film to release and that he’s having a lot of fun while shooting for the film. Meanwhile, Narappa is all set to release on Amazon Prime on July 20th.
