Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has recently sold his luxurious duplex residence in Mumbai’s Oshiwara area for a whopping Rs 83 crore, as per Square Yards’ study of property registration records. The report also suggests that the actor has earned a profit of 68 percent with this sale.
The actor had purchased the property in April 2021 for Rs 31 crore. The duplex is situated in a premium residential project called The Atlantis, created by Crystal Group. The apartment has a carpet area of 5,185.62 sqft, with a spacious terrace measuring 445.93 sqm and featuring six automated car parking spaces.
Further, property transaction documents revealed the apartment is located on the 27th and 28th floors and was officially registered on January 17. A stamp duty payment of Rs 4.98 crore and registration fees of Rs 30,000 were paid for its sale.
The document also mentions that Big B has sold the flat to Vijay Singh Thakor and Kamal Vijay Thakor. Earlier, the same flat was rented by actress Kriti Sanon in November 2021 for Rs 10 lakh a month with a Rs 60 lakh security deposit.
The Oshiwara neighborhood in western Mumbai is vibrant and well-known for its spectacular nightlife and close proximity to the Lokhandwala Complex. The area is also easily accessible by road and the Mumbai Metro.
Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in the sci-fi thriller Kalki 2898 AD.
