Amazon pays a whopping price to grab Master digital rights

Thalapathy Vijay’s latest movie Master which got released on the 13th of this month as a Sankranthi special has done really well at the box office. The movie has performed beyond expectations though there is a 50 percent occupancy cap. The movie has grossed over 200 Crores which is sensational. Vijay has scored yet another hit with Master.

It is very well known that Amazon Prime has grabbed the digital rights of this movie. It was scheduled for the movie to get released on February 12th. But as a surprising move, the movie is now streaming from 29th January, i.e., in a few hours. It is said that Amazon has paid additional 12 Crores for this preponement and overall has paid around Rs. 36 Crores for the digital rights.

Lokesh Kanagaraj has directed the movie while Malvika Mohanan is the female lead of the project
