Before the Diwali release Thamma, audiences saw a 60-second teaser for Shakti Shalini, revealing Aneet Padda as the lead and a release date of December 24, 2026.
This date was earlier reserved for Amar Kaushik’s ambitious film Mahavatar starring Vicky Kaushal, also produced by Maddock Films, with Amar as one of its producers and mentors.
In an interview, Amar Kaushik explained that Mahavatar has been postponed. “We’ve spent months preparing sets, weapons, and characters”.
“The script is ready, but Vicky will finish his other commitments before prep begins. We hope to start filming by mid-next year”, he said.
Amar called it a passion project inspired by his childhood fascination with Parshuram Kund. With his experience in VFX, he feels confident yet admits, “Even now, I feel nervous about taking on such a huge film!”
