Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand confirmed the arrest of Telugu star Allu Arjun in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case.
A video of the incident shows Allu Arjun objecting to the way he was arrested. He can be heard telling the police that he was taken straight from his bedroom and requested time to finish his breakfast before being taken away. His wife, Sneha Reddy, and Allu Aravind were also seen during this tense moment.
Allu Arjun’s recent blockbuster, Pushpa 2, has been a massive hit, crossing Rs. 1,000 crore at the box office. Alongside his professional success, he has been in the news for denying rumors of entering politics, which he dismissed publicly just a day before the arrest.
The arrest has sparked discussions about celebrity responsibility and public safety at events. While the court has yet to confirm charges, reports indicate that Allu Arjun may not have direct involvement in the woman’s tragic death during the stampede.
Speculations about sentencing are premature at this stage. He is currently undergoing medical examinations, and it remains to be seen if he can secure bail before the weekend, as courts will remain closed on the upcoming second Saturday and Sunday.
