Akhil makes a strong comeback in Overseas!

Akkineni Akhil had to face some humiliation with his debut in Overseas markets. The movie did not collect more than US$200k and the losses posted by the distributors have been seriously surprising. With such a bad record, many wondered will Overseas audience show interest in watching Hello, his scond movie in the direction of Vikram Kumar. Even though he did prove to have a market with 24, Vikram Kumar couldn’t guarantee a box office number as it needs actors to perform as well.

Akhil Akkineni did his best to erase all the bad impression by travelling around America and performing in three important cities like New Jersey, Dallas and San Jose. He has put in more efforts than any young actor and the movie attracted a good premiere number and even grossed US$500k at the box office in just two days. This is a good comeback from a young hero after such a debacle and we have to say, a spirited comeback by the young hero.

He is getting appreciated in Two Telugu states too, as a performer. Vikram Kumar’s magical story telling and Kalyani Priyadarshan’s performance are also getting high praises. Jagapathi Babu and Ramyakrishnan’s presence has helped the film to get families walking into theatres. On Sunday, the positive word of mouth resulted in better collections than the first day and trade is hoping the up trend continues in coming weeks with holiday and vacation boost.
