Akhanda sequel plans revealed!

Director Boyapati Srinu and Nandamuri Balakrishna collaborated for the third time last year, for Akhanda, which was released in December. Given that this was the third film in their combination, after previous hits like Simha and Legend, there were high expectations on the film. Upon its release, Akhanda surpassed all expectations and turned out to be one of the biggest hits of 2021 and the career-best film for Boyapati and Balakrishna.

At the time of the 50 days celebration of Akhanda, director Boyapati revealed that he has plans for a sequel for Akhanda as well and that he left out small hints in the film about the second part. It is now being said that the second part of Akhanda might go on floors as early as 2023 after Boyapati and Balakrishna are done with their current commitments.

While Balakrishna is committed to completing director Gopichand Malineni’s film right now, Boyapati is rumoured to be teaming up with Energetic star Ram Pothineni. On the whole, it is going to be a feast for all the audience to see Boyapati and Balayya team up for the fourth time, that too this soon.
