Star hero Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Seenu’s sensational hit, Akhanda is continuing its dream run at the ticket windows. After achieving break-even status in majority centres in the first week itself, Akhanda had a good second weekend run at the box office which is a rare feat for the film’s release during the dry and non-festival season.
As per the trade reports, by the end of its second weekend, Akhanda has minted more than Rs 100 crore gross at the worldwide box office and emerged as Balayya’s biggest hit by generating a share of close to Rs 65 crore. At the US box office, Akhanda collected more than $983K and is expected to enter the magical 1 million club in the next couple of days.
More than becoming a roaring hit at the box office, Akhanda revived the market for big-budget films after the Covid crisis and paved the path for the upcoming biggies like Pushpa, RRR, Radhe Shyam, Bheemla Nayak among others.
