Akhanda keeps on getting bigger

The expectations on Balakrishna’s Akhanda, directed by Boyapati Srinu, were sky-high since its announcement. Given that this was the third film between this highly successful combo, after Simha and Legend, the high expectations were understandable. Upon the film’s release, the film surpassed all expectations to become the biggest hit in the career of Boyapati and Balakrishna.

Akanda had a roaring run in the theatres, earning good revenues for the makers and everyone involved, even theatre owners. The film successfully ran for over 50 days in theatres, a rare feat these days, especially in the current situation. Akhanda is performing well even online after it premiered on Disney Hotstar last week. Owing to this stupendous success, AKhanda has now been released in Tamil Nadu, and now there are reports about the film getting a Bollywood remake.

It is being reported that Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn have expressed interest in remaking the film in Hindi, and the makers are currently said to be in talks with some Bollywood production houses, who are trying to buy the remake rights.
