Noted actor Adivi Sesh is currently having a multi-lingual project titled, Major, in the pipeline. The film is said to be a biopic on Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the brave NSG commando who sacrificed his life for the nation during the 26/11 attacks at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai.
The film has almost wrapped up its shooting except for a final schedule which is expected to resume in this month itself. Meanwhile, the latest news coming in from media circles is that Major’s Hindi version satellite rights are sold for a whopping amount of Rs 10 crore. Though there is no clarity on which entertainment channel bagged the satellite rights,if the above deal details are to be believed, this comes as a major boost for the makers in terms of business equations.
Also starring young beauty Saiee Manjrekar, Sobhita Dhulipala among others in prominent roles, Major is being directed by Shashi Kiran Tikka. Sony Pictures Productions, A+S Movies and Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainments banners are jointly bankrolling the project which will have a pan-India release by this year end.
