A title change for Mersal?

Vijay’s Mersal is the big movie for Diwali, this year. The actor and director of the film are highly excited. More than them the fans are excited to see Vijay in three characters. Already, Atlee, the director has delivered a huge hit with Vijay, Theri. So, the expectations are high. Already, songs released earlier in August have become popular and A.R. Rahman is busy composing the Back Ground score for the movie.

Now, the movie might have a name change as “Mersal” is taken by a producer, Rajendran. The guy has gone to court asking the release to be stopped as he deserves the rights to use Mersal and Mersalayyitten titles under his production house. He registered them way back in 2014. Court has listened to both of the groups arguments and judgement could be in favour of Rajendran. Hence, the tamil is thinking about alternative title.

Already, Alaporam Thamizha, song is a huge hit and the director is thinking about using the phrase as the title for the film. The movie doesn’t have to change the title in Telugu and soon, the promotions of Adirindi will start. S.S. Rajamouli has already wished the team a grand success as well. Still, as the problem is in the Court, the release date has not been finalized. But the movie will release by 18th October and fans are making all the arrangements to welcome, Ilayathalapathy in a grand fashion. We have to wait and see if the team will go for a deal outside the court to keep the same title or will they change it for sure.
