A decade long dream Spyder : Murugadoss

Mahesh Babu and A.R. Murugadoss have come together for a movie and it has been creating sensation all over the two states and even the movie has good buzz even in Tamil as Murugadoss is a star director in Tamil. This is his next movie in Tamil after Tuppakki, Kaththi with Vijay and this time he is introducing Mahesh Babu in Tamil. The director talked about the movie to the media and he are few interesting updates from the interaction.

He said, “ From past ten years Mahesh Babu and me were in talks to make a movie in Telugu but nothing has fell in place until Spyder. The actor has been game for a Tamil-Telugu bilingual and I wanted to make one after making movies in Hindi and Tamil. I thought this will be like directing two films at a time but took the effort with the actors who knew Tamil and Telugu languages well enough. With Mahesh it is a dream come true as he helped me with everything I wanted and he is key for me to make the movie as a bilingual, He knows Tamil very well and I am a popular director in both the languages, so the movie looked feasible.”

He continued to say, “ The movie villain is not inspired from Scare Crow of Batman Begins or Joker from The Dark Knight. The characters came to me more from Indian Mythology and you will be able to understand more after watching the film. For me the movies happened as I got the idea for Mahesh Babu’s character who reacts to Human crisis first and there are lot of elements that the movie will touch upon on about our disaster management. Even though the movie does have a message I don’t make movies for message, In this WhatsApp world people are fed up of messages and my movies are more about current and relevant topics and not messages. I make a movie because of story and not a message!”

He also revealed that he has story for Rajnikanth and he is looking to work with the actor as soon as he can. He said he can develop a story for the actor in a month and it is the time and things that have to fall in place for both of them to come together. He did not reveal much about his movie with Vijay but said, the movie will be better than previous movies and will be a new Vijay in the movie that no one has seen before! Spyder is going to Romania on Monday to finish the final schedule for ten days!
