Mahanati and Nadigaiyar Thilagam became the highest-grossing South Indian film that starred a woman as the primary character. It became the fourth-best Telugu opener in the United States in 2018, earning more money than in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana combined on its first day. The movie earned US$2.59 Million Dollars throughout its run.

Geetha Govindam was released to critical acclaim from both audience and critics alike, the film was a commercial success in the overseas market, earning more than US$ 2.45 Million Dollars in The US.
