The Hindi film industry’s golden age in the 1940s and 1950s is the focus of the historical drama Jubilee.
Because to her truthful depiction of Niloufar in Vikramaditya Motwane’s Jubilee, Wamiqa Gabbi has made one of this year’s biggest breakthroughs. Many actresses consider it to be their ideal role. And now, among the entire list of actresses, there is a legend who has declared her intention to take on the role if given the chance.
In a recent interview with Zeenat Aman, when the comedian and host Zakir Khan asked the former actress which character from the immensely popular series Jubilee she would like to play, she immediately replied, “Niloufer.” She also clarifies it by saying “Damdar hai”. The immaculate actor Wamiqa says it was a wonderful praise. The fact that Zeenat Amam, a legend from a different era of the profession, has acknowledged Wamiqa’s work is particularly noteworthy.
Wamiqa said, “I remember watching her films and songs. She is one of the most confident, progressive and unapologetically sexy actresses of the times. She always stood out from the rest. She embodies the very term confident and redefines Desire even till date ! It was just so beautiful to be validated by an Absolute Diva who resonated with my portrayal of Niloufar. It’s overwhelming for me to just know that she’s watched the series and she loved it and, if given a chance, she would like to play Niloufer. I am truly honoured and ecstatic. I hope that she likes my other performances in the future.”
