The senior actress Zeenat Aman, who is very active on Instagram these days, is enthralling the internet with her candid reflections on her classic movie Chhailla Babu.

With her decades-long acting career, renowned Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman became a household name. With her debut, the legend defied all pre-existing expectations of a heroine in Hindi film and made a name for herself with a number of audacious yet author-supported and performance-focused roles. As a senior member of the cinema community, Zeenat Aman has been sharing her insightful opinions on her films and a variety of other topics on social media pretty frequently lately. The actor, who only recently made her Instagram debut, is very active there and has been captivating the internet with her openness and sensibility.

Zeenat Aman recently shared a gorgeous throwback image from her previous movie Chhailla Babu, which was first released in 1977, on her official Instagram account. She also included a lengthy statement with the photo in which she expressed her unvarnished opinions of the movie and the famous line “Nahiiiin” that made her character well-known over time.

In 1977, the suspense thriller Chhailla Babu dominated the box office. Rajesh Khanna starred in it, while Shomu Mukherjee, who is charming and laid-back, produced and directed the film. It had a tonne of romance, action, music, and drama. We can almost all agree that a drawn-out “nahiiiiiin” from me is pretty much the trademark of Bollywood masala, writes Zeenat Aman in her piece. This picture was taken in between takes of the dramatic action scene that was filmed in Goa’s waters. And I do have to throw a few punches, she continued.

It’s interesting to note that the seasoned actress also said that the movie, which was quite successful with viewers when it was released, has not aged well and that it still makes her grimace. “The costumes I wore in the movie were quite outrageous. So, what do I have on here? A skirt that matches the top in black and pink (faux leather), a scarf, and knee-high boots. And metallic studs were used to adorn the entire outfit! What do you call a “outfit of the day”?” the actress asked in her tweet.

As an aside, I will admit that so many of the films that we made back then haven’t aged too well. In fact, my younger followers would be appalled by the “red Indian” sequence in this film. Quite frankly, it makes me cringe too. Such caricatures were entirely the norm back then, and I am glad that I know better now!” Wrote Zeenat Aman in her post.
