Young Assistant director to debut as lead beside Akhil?

Akhil is busy shooting for his movie, Akhil2, still the title is not officially announced, in the direction of Vikram Kumar and the actor is working harder than ever to please the ardent fans of his father, Akkineni Nagarjuna and grandfather, Akkineni Nageswara Rao. The movie has completed three long action schedules and major action sequences have been canned, choreographed by Hollywood Stunt Master, Bob Brown.

Till now, the team did not zero in on a lead actress and they are trying to find the right girl who will suit the character and also make a great pair with Akhil. Apparently, the role is a short one and not many actresses showed interest due to that reason as per the sources. Now, the team has got a proposal from a young assistant director, a girl mind you, Kalyani for the role in the movie.

She is none other than Priyadarshan’s daughter and the young girl worked as an assistant director for the film, Irumugan/ inkokadu starring Chiyaan Vikram and Nayantara. As she is a big fan of Manam and 24, she wanted to work with the direct, Vikram. So, he sent the proposal to act in his movie as the lead, however short the role might be. Nag and Akhil have gone through her profile and gave that to Vikram Kumar to take the final decision.
