Political films gain interest of the audiences on the day of the release but then fail to live to upto the expectations of common audiences and end up failures. Many thought NTR biopic and Yatra won’t be such films.
But they showed that Telugu audiences are not interested in agenda of politicians to be shown in films. NTR Mahanayakudu makers have hence dialed down on publicity after Kathanayakudu debacle.
Yatra makers decided to go full blown to media publicity but that strategy prior to release seemed like working but it ended up as a flop after first day. Except in Tamil Nadu everywhere movie became a washout.
Even after a promising start in Telugu states the movie declined on the weekdays and Lakshmi’s NTR seems to have hogged all the limelight on social media for now.
