Kannada actor Yash received international recognition with director Prashanth Neel’s pan-Indian film KGF: Chapter 1. Two years later, the sequel to the blockbuster flick is all set to hit the theatres this year. In a surprise announcement, the makers revealed that the film will release worldwide on October 23,2020. The shoot of KGF: Chapter 2 has been progressing at a swift pace. According to sources close to the film’s unit, the team has erected a huge set in Hyderabad, where most of the film has been shot. KGF: Chapter 2’s shoot is nearing completion and is expected to be wrapped up in the coming days months.
Popular trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to announce the film’s release date. He wrote, “RELEASE DATE FINALIZED… #KGFChapter2 to release on 23 Oct 2020… Stars #Yash, #SanjayDutt, #SrinidhiShetty and #RaveenaTandon… Directed by Prashanth Neel… Poster…” The sequel to KGF has Bollywood actors Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon as part of the cast. As reported earlier, Sanjay Dutt will essay the role of Adheera, who’s the main antagonist in the second part of KGF franchise.
In an earlier interview, Sanjay Dutt compared his character to Thanos from Avengers. He said, “Adheera’s character is very powerful. If you have seen Avengers, you would know Thanos. So Adheera is like him. He is a very dangerous character with a dangerous get-up. And that’s the zone I was looking for.” Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film is produced by Hombale Films. KGF: Chapter 2 features Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Malavika Avinash in pivotal roles.
