Star heroine Samantha’s sci-fi emotional thriller, Yashoda under the direction of the duo Hari-Harish had a theatrical release last month. Opened to decent reports, the film collected close to Rs 12 crore share by the end of its theatrical run.
We had already reported that Yashoda post-theatrical streaming rights are bagged by reputed OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. Reportedly, Amazon management has invested a huge amount to bag Yashoda streaming rights for Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada versions. Now, the latest news is that Amazon Prime Video management is gearing up for the OTT streaming of Yashoda from December 9th onwards.
Yashoda revolves around the surrogacy concept and exposes loopholes in the surrogate mafia. Alongside Samantha, the film also has Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan in prominent roles. Senior producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad bankrolled Yashoda under his Sridevi Movies banner. Mani Sharma composed the background score for the film.
